On the 15th and 16th of July, the greater Luzon area were again struck by a super typhoon, "Typhoon Glenda".

Heavy rains and strong winds brought tremendous fear to those who were within the areas with storm signals. One of the most affected region is the CALABARZON area. Typhoon Glenda mercilessly struck the agricultural sector of the region as seen by the great destruction  it brought to coconut and rice plantations and also to the fishing communities in the area.

The provinces of Laguna and Quezon were under state of calamity due to its devastating state. Most of the infrastracture such as buildings, residences, electrical posts, bridges and age old trees in the region also succumb to the powerful wrath of this typhoon.  Numerous number of families also suffered, from losing their home and losing all of their possessions, gradually getting by each day waiting for the help to be extended by the government.

Whatever the circumstances are, one thing remains true as seen by the whole world, that Filipinos are resilient and can share their smile to everyone even in difficult times such as these disasters.
